Nanushkas provide long range AA, good fire support, and plenty of ASMs to take on enemy capitals. Redfor is also complemented by amazing, powerful, and cheap ships. This is from experience unconquerable as we've won over 30 games using this tactic with the only losses being due to server crashes from so many units.

The smoke launchers make ASMs and ATGMs useless and upon splitting all 250+ ships into singles you can easily overwhelm your opponents spawn (or in STTP 2nd spawn) withing minutes. If you have 3 Redfor marines (3 is needed for that critical mass) you can field so many 10 point 40hp transports that enemy aircraft are essentially blocked off from the landing zone completely, over 250+ duel 20mm cannons per transport can stun lock, crit, and even quickly destroy capital ships. So why is this so powerful and why am I even arguing that it is? My group has found that taking two cards to militia (64) each can yield up to 250 ships alone for 3 players. Both Red dragon and Eastern Block marines can easily field up to 64 infantry units, 22 tanks, and assorted ships on 2k points alone. While wargame is arguably not balanced for the 10v10 scene, it's still a huge part of the community and this applies to mixed land/naval maps as well.Īnyways I find Redfor marine decks to be the most powerful things you can field in 10v10s mixed land/naval maps.

While I know this sub looks down on it due to rampant elitism I will explain my experience with them on 10v10 naval maps. None of the other Marine decks come even close. US Marines is a medium-heavy tank (adding M1A1 and/or M1A1 HA) and good spammable infantry (Light Riflemen getting shock) and possibly a real superheavy (but it has tons of superheavy counters, so I dunno if it really needs it) away from being a meta deck. Some Marine decks have a decent air tab, good infantry tab, and/or good helicopters, but none of them have all of that, none of them have a good AA section, and none of them pack a superheavy.

), the AA section is better than some national decks (ChapA3, PIP-III, Avenger), its helicopters are fucking scary (Supercobras and Seahawks), it has a fuckton of autocannons (LAV-25s in both vehicle and recon), and it has one of the best infantry+transport options in the game (Marines '90 in LVTP-7A1 GL transports). It has a pseudo superheavy (M1A1 Heavy Common), it has a real air tab (a truly dangerous ASF, actual SEAD, multiple good ATGM options to counter its lack of a true superheavy. USMC survives because it has a lot of things other Marine decks just don't have any equivalent to. In practice, the thematic deck limitations kill every single Marine deck that isn't US. In theory, they're really good for combined-arms plane and infantry tactics without being super-reliant on heliborne infantry like airborne is.
